Located in beautiful Albert Park, Parks Victoria replaced an underused building with a new low energy, high amenity pavilion designed to be a combined office and depot for the Parks management and staff. The facility design aimed to be an extension of the Parks Victoria brand and ensure optimum functionality for users of the building.

The project had a strong sustainability focus with Building Engineering subcontracting Global Reach to supply the aluminium windows and doors necessary for this. To adhere to the projects stringent Energy Efficiency criteria, double glazed units were utilised combined with non thermal break, commercial frames. The rebuild improves and reactivates this corner of the park, integrating green spaces and taking advantage of passive surveillance through the use of a central courtyard.
